Our staff and residents have had a lot of fun creating a gingerbread house recently, for another competition against our other 10 sister Canford Healthcare homes.
Here at Tunbridge Wells Care Centre we didn’t just make a house – we got really creative and, thanks to the valiant contributions from each of our units, we made an entire village with Santa’s sleigh, reindeer, trees and lots of tinsel.
Over the last few days we’ve been kneading gingerbread dough, rolling, icing, piping and arranging the pieces. We’ve probably eaten as many sweets as we’ve used for decoration – but that’s all part of the fun. And it didn’t matter that we didn’t win – the judges said we were a strong runner up. All that matters is that it was a great team effort.
So a huge well done to residents and staff and now we’re all looking forward to tucking in!
