At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, we believe it is just as important to look after ourselves physically as well as mentally. That's why this year, the sunny weather allowed us to host our very own sports day in our garden!

Residents, staff, families and friends came together to get active, collect points and, more importantly, enjoy some healthy competition. Each floor competed against each other in classic sports day games. From beanbag toss and rockets to beach volleyball, there was something for everyone to show off their skills.

Encouraging residents to be active in a care home is crucial for maintaining their physical health, mental wellbeing and independence. At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, our staff work hard to encourage residents to take part in a range of different activities such as gentle exercises, walking, dancing, gardening or even engaging events like sports day. Our activities are always adapted to each resident’s abilities, interests and health needs so that everyone can participate safely.

After all of the excitement of our sunny sports day, it was time to count the points, which resulted in Grosvenor being crowned our Sports Day champions and lifting their winners' cup. A huge thank you to everyone who came to Tunbridge Wells Care Centre to join in on the fun, and a big congratulations to our well-deserved winners!
