A Cosy Afternoon of 70’s Tunes and Treats in Tunbridge Wells

At Tunbridge Wells Care Home, we ended the month of August in the best way possible – with a cosy afternoon of music, good company, and a few well-earned treats. Even though the rain was falling outside, indoors was filled with warmth and laughter as residents gathered to enjoy a nostalgic playlist of 70’s favourites. From upbeat classics to gentle ballads, the music brought back memories and plenty of smiles.

Our residents settled in with their drink of choice, whether it was a glass of wine, a splash of Baileys, or simply a refreshing lemonade. Alongside the music and conversation, we served a spread of comforting snacks, including freshly baked bread with butter and bowls of juicy grapes. The simple combination paired perfectly with the relaxed atmosphere.
It was lovely to see everyone chatting, reminiscing, and enjoying each other’s company. Despite the grey skies outside, the mood was light and sunny indoors. By the end of the afternoon, spirits were high and there was a wonderful feeling of togetherness. It was the perfect way to round off August, and we’re already looking forward to more afternoons like this at Tunbridge Wells Care Home.
