Surrounded by the beautiful East Sussex countryside and boasting magnificent sea views, our bright and modern home is a place where quality of life is as important as quality of care.

We are rated 9.7 on carehome.co.uk and hold a Good CQC rating a reflection of the passion, professionalism and pride our team brings to everything they do. Now, we are looking for a clinically qualified Deputy Manager to help lead us into the future.

What we offer:

  • A beautiful working environment with sea views and landscaped gardens
  • Opportunities for training, development and career progression
  • A collaborative, values-driven culture

If you’re a confident clinical leader with a warm heart and a steady hand, we’d love to hear from you.

Your role:
As our Deputy Manager, you will be a key part of the home’s leadership team providing hands-on clinical expertise while also supporting the Home Manager in day-to-day operations. You’ll spend time both on the floor (around 50%) and in a supernumerary capacity, ensuring that every resident receives person-centred, high-quality care.

When the Home Manager is away, you’ll take full responsibility for the running of the service guiding and supporting our talented nurses, carers and support staff, managing rotas, maintaining compliance, and making sure our standards remain second to none.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing strong clinical leadership and mentoring to the team.
  • Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, medication management, and audits.
  • Supporting recruitment, inductions, training, and ongoing staff development.
  • Ensuring compliance with CQC, safeguarding guidelines and company policies.
  • Leading by example delivering hands-on nursing care when needed.
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals.

About you

  • Nurse-qualified (NMC registered) – essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in a management or senior nurse position within a care home setting.
  • Confident in clinical decision-making and leading a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledgeable in CQC regulations and committed to best practice in care.
  • Organised, approachable, and passionate about supporting both residents and colleagues.
