Claudia Ramsamy, manager of Mayflower Care Home, reached the final in the “Inspirational Care Home Manager (South)” category. This recognises an outstanding manager who supports their staff team to deliver care that is both high quality and person centred. Claudia, who worked her way up from housekeeper to manager, is well known and well respected in the industry. Her courageous leadership (as a new manager) during the pandemic was recognised at an industry level, gaining her the East of England Great British Care Awards’ Social Care Covid Hero Award in 2020.
