We have achieved two winners (for Best for Communication and Best for Non-clinical activities) in 2021 and seven finalists since 2020.

Winner:

The Best for Communication award recognised the strength of our communications channels across each of our 11 homes with residents, their families, friends and care home staff during the pandemic. The judges acknowledged our efforts to ensure that everyone, including professionals and our local communities, were kept informed about our response to Covid-19, and clear about what we needed them to do to promote safety within our homes. A constant flow of communication helped reduce anxiety among our staff, residents and their families.

Winner:

The judges awarded us the Best for Non-Clinical Facilities award because our activities played a vital role in helping to support residents’ physical and mental wellbeing and overall quality of life during the pandemic. Many live with dementia and other complex health needs and our wellness teams work hard to provide varied and meaningful activities for all. Because the pandemic prevented trips out and (generally) visits by relatives and outside entertainers, our teams used all their ingenuity to plan activities to entertain and boost residents’ morale.
