Dementia Care FAQs

Before moving into our home, we arrange a consultation with our Home Manager, the prospective resident, and their loved ones to ensure we can meet their individual needs. We take the time to understand their routines, interests, and preferences, incorporating them into a personalised care plan. Our person-centred approach focuses on maintaining independence and dignity while providing the reassurance that support is always available when needed.

At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, we prioritise the training and development of our dementia care staff, ensuring they stay up to date with the latest dementia care practices. Our experienced team provides compassionate support with personal care, activities, therapies, communication, mobility and medication management, delivering the highest standard of care for our residents living with dementia.

We offer a diverse activities programme tailored to all residents, including both group and one-on-one sessions. Our regular activities include arts and crafts, music therapy, reminiscence sessions, and sensory activities. Each activity is carefully chosen to promote the physical, mental, and social well-being of our residents, including those living with dementia.

At Tunbridge Wells Care Centre, we ask for a 28-day notice period for residents in long-term care who plan to move out. Our compassionate team is available 24/7 to provide support during the transition and answer any questions you may have.
